Walter Widemond received his pre-licensing at Georgia MLS and his post-license training at Coldwell Banker Bullard College . He has completed numerous classes and courses in the real estate field.
Widemond is a retired U.S. Army Sergeant Major. He served in the military for 26 years and has been a Clayton County resident for 18 years. He is currently Co-Chairman for a new organization called DADS, Diversified and Dedicated Support. This organization works with head of household parents and also provides mentoring for teenagers. He works with students at Adamson Middle School in Rex , Georgia . Widemond is also a youth sport program coach.
His concerns are helping military men and women in uniform achieve the American dream. A Rand Corporation Study concluded that only 27.3% of military families own their homes, compared to 68.3% of civilian families. Currently he is working with a nonprofit organization called Military Housing Assistance Fund which helps service men and women with down payment and closing costs, making it easier for them to purchase homes.
Walter is married and has two grown children who also live in Clayton County . His hobbies include gardening, golfing and fishing. |
